Zielsetzung:

Kultureinrichtungen wie Bibliotheken, Sendeanstalten, Archive und Museen stehen vor der bedeutenden Herausforderung im großen Maßstab digitale Kulturgüter einem breiten Publikum zugänglich zu machen. Im Rahmen des Anwendungsszenarios CONTENTUS werden neue Technologien für den Aufbau von multimedialen Wissensplattformen – z. B. digitale Bibliotheken oder digitale Sendearchive – entwickelt. Auf diese Weise wird durch die Bundesregierung der Zugang zu Wissen im digitalen Zeitalter gefördert und ein Beitrag zur Bewahrung des kulturellen Erbes geleistet.
